My name is Tom Emmi. Thanks to inspiration from legendary bassist Leland Sklar, I created LEST WE FORGET MUSICIANS, INC., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Philadelphia, PA (USA). We produce various programs that honor some of the many important musicians and industry icons – from all genres – that pass away each year.

As part of our Mission, we seek to:

• Produce fresh original tribute performances that help honor musicians who are no longer with us – and along with interviews from family, friends and/or colleagues – prepare them for various presentation and distribution outlets.
• Present career and industry information (milestones, achievements, etc.) on many of our honorees.
• Create live public performances to further extend the reach of these tributes.

So, this is our attempt to honor these wonderful musicians – for their contributions to both the music industry and to artistic culture as we know it. Of course, there are many more who pass on each year, beyond those we honor here. Together with our Corporate Sponsors, we salute them all, for their inspiration, their legacy, and for all they left behind for us to enjoy for years to come.

LEST WE FORGET MUSICIANS is a true labor of love for everyone involved. No one is paid to participate. In fact, many go out-of-pocket to cover their own travel, hotel and meals, just for the opportunity to be involved in this project.
